Aurora Water Restrictions

Apr 2004 Water Restrictions
During the month of Apr 2004, Aurora water customers may water their lawns one day a week. Customers may select which day to water rather than following a prescribed schedule. Customers are not limited to a time frame on their chosen watering day.

Aurora Utilities is encouraging its water customers to voluntarily refrain from watering lawns in Apr 2004. Lawns typically need only minimum moisture during Apr. Aurora Utilities is also encouraging its water customers to use the month of Apr 2004 to irrigate trees and shrubs and to test and adjust sprinkler systems so that they will be efficient when they are turned on in May 2004.
Summer Water Restrictions
Beginning 1 May 2004, Aurora will launch its 2004 water management plan. Once the City or Aurora determines the watering restrictions for the summer, we will post an update on the Lake Shore Community website and make the information available in the Lake Shore Community newsletter.

Crime Report - Impersonating an Officer

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office has received four reports of victims receiving phone calls in the early morning hours where the caller claims to be a peace officer and requests the victim come outside. In some cases, the caller possessed some knowledge of the victim. The caller told one victim the police had his brother in custody.

Here are the similarities:
  • The calls are typically received between 2:00 AM and 4:30 AM.
  • The caller asks the victim to come outside.
  • Several of the victims are owners or employees of liquor stores.
  • In all but one case, the caller was male.
  • In three cases, the caller asked what the victim was wearing.
If you receive a call like this, please contact your block captain or Lisa Kelly by phone (303-337-1989) or e-mail (dkelly1058@aol.com).

Neighborhood Watch Meeting

The Neighborhood Watch Meeting on 2 Mar 2004 at Vassar Elementary is in the cafeteria instead of the gymnasium (they're right next to each other). We're looking forward to seeing everyone there.
